Books on Writing
Every writer has favorite books on writing, books that inspire our craft and help us get the word out there. Here are a few of my favorites, and I'll add to the list as I go along.
A Great Marketing Tool for Writers!
Get your blog noticed! Every blogger should read Pimp Ur Blog by Paul Rice and his co-author, "Messie Jessie." Paul and Jessie explain the bookmarking process for sites like Digg, Dropjack, and numerous other social networks clearly and thoroughly, and show the reader how to track the links created. For a writer like me with limited technical know-how, Pimp Ur Blog is a great help!
Writing from the Inside Out: Transforming Your Psychological Blocks to Release the Writer Within
is a superb emotional support for writers. Written by a former screenwriter-turned-psychologist, it offers tremendous insight into the emotional issues writers face, as well as being a huge help in recovering from the dreaded "writer's block." Every writer will find inspiration and comfort from this book.
If You Want to Write: A Book about Art, Independence and Spirit
. This is one of the first books on writing I ever read, and it helped me believe in myself and my writing through its focus on integrity, imagination, and spirit. A wonderful writing read!
