About My Work
My mission is to help people who have experienced emotional abuse and bullying to understand their feelings, learn how to express them in a healthy way, and to eventually recover from emotional abuse so they can go on to create more authentic lives and fulfill the potential every human being has for happiness and meaningful work.
I don't have ads on my website because I don't know how humanely the companies who advertise are run, and I feel I can't condone a product until I've tried it. Without advertising, this website is supported solely by donations. Any contribution – even a dollar or two – is deeply appreciated.

What's Next: The book I'm currently writing, Hope Will Set You Free, is a book for teens which will help them learn how to manage their emotions and express them in a healthy way, raise their self-esteem, and set foot on the path to a more emotionally healthy adulthood. My hope is that Hope Will Set You Free will help to prevent school violence and teen suicide, and will in some measure help to stop the bullying epidemic.
My next book will be a workbook for people who have experienced emotional abuse, offering insights on healing and exercises for putting the past to rest and building self-esteem. The subject of emotional abuse is still taboo in our society – even though some studies suggest that it affects nearly 40% of the population at home, in school, and in the workplace – and I want to open the conversation, because so many people have been hurt and need support.
My long-term goal is to create a body of work to offer support and encourage healing from trauma and the growth of self-esteem for victims of bullying, emotional abuse, and domestic violence. The muse who fuels my writing already has two other books waiting in the wings. I have trouble keeping up!
